DO MORE WITH THE CONTENT YOU ALREADY HAVE
So many entrepreneurs I see are so concerned with always having something new to say, when the reality is you shouldn't always have something new to say, frankly, people need to hear or read or see things multiple times in order for it to sink in and something that they saw a year ago, they're going to be in a completely different place now and they're going to take away something way different from it.
That also works in your favor because since these are based on your signature processes and your signature teachings, your content shouldn't change, you shouldn't be changing your process from week to week. So this really leads to your advantage because you're not going to need to create content as frequently and can focus more on the promotion side of things, meaning a lot more leverage for your existing content and a lot more time back in your day.
STEP UP YOUR HARO GAME
Now that's great because publicity helps you stand out from your competition. It's going to help you be seen as a thought leader in your industry and help clients find their way to you. And it will enable you to charge more for your services.
Just sign up for it and start responding to some of those journalists' requests so that you can use the power of publicity to elevate your business.
For those of you who do know what HARO is, it's time to take things to the next level. My top tip for you is don't be that. “too long; didn't read” response. You want to make sure that your responses to these journalists are succinct and smart so that you stand out from the crowd and cut and paste. This will make them quote-worthy, make them sound bitey. A few compliments sent to the journalist at the start and the end of your email can end them on an endearing note.
SET BOUNDARIES
IMPLEMENT PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN YOUR BUSINESS
Number one, it ensures your work gets completed on time. If you work with a team, you'll know how to allocate that time and the tasks appropriately.
Next, it prevents chaos. Nobody wants to not know what's going on in their project. So project management by putting in phases and processes in your business, you're going to prevent chaos.
It improves the quality of your work, who wants referrals that are rave-worthy, that are fantastic, that are out of this world. I know I do. And I know you do as well.
BATCH YOUR WRITING PROJECTS
As an example, you can schedule three hours on the calendar, consider it a writing marathon, sit down with a plan. Bring your favorite beverages fuel for a marathon and plan what you're going to write, maybe it's going to be three blog posts. And imagine if you did three blog posts a week, once a week, how far you can get ahead and have so much less of that blinking cursor anxiety.
